The Howe Sound Curling Club was established in 1964 and relocated after a fire to Squamish Valley on Mamquam Road in 1984. The Club has four sheets of ice supported by a full Clubhouse, Restaurant and Lounge.
The Curling program operates from October through March.
The Curling Season features: Lessons in October followed by League Play for all groups: Seniors, Women, Men, Mixed and Juniors with the traditional year end play downs in March.
In addition to league play, The Club hosts a Bonspiels in the Womens, Men's and Mixed categories.
The Club accomodates company and charity events on weekends throughout the Curling season.
The Howe Sound Curling Club is the only curling facility north of Vancouver in Sea to Sky Country.
Curling is suited to both beginners and experienced players and accommodates singles, couples or teams of four. A minimum of equipment is required: a broom and non-slip shoes or a slider.
CHARITY LEAGUE
Monday Night's Charity League is a great way to start curling with the equipment included. The program starts in November with free Lessons included.
MEMBER EQUIPMENT
Please note that The Club will require all members to provide their own gripper and broom.
CURLING SEASON
The 2011/12 Curling Season gets underway the first week of October.
FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL LEAGUE
A great new feature for new curlers is the Friday Evening Social League with no stats, capped at 9 weeks (December thru February), with free lessons in November to get you started. All for only $109 per person. No equipment required: grippers, slider and broom provided.
