The Howe Sound Curling Club was established in 1964 and relocated after a fire to Squamish Valley on Mamquam Road in 1984. The Club has four sheets of ice supported by a full Clubhouse, Restaurant and Lounge.
The Curling program operates from October through March.
The Curling Season features: Lessons in October followed by League Play for all groups: Seniors, Women, Men, Mixed and Juniors with the traditional year end play downs in March.
In addition to league play, The Club hosts a Bonspiels in the Womens, Men's and Mixed categories.
The Club accomodates company and charity events on weekends throughout the Curling season.
The Howe Sound Curling Club is the only curling facility north of Vancouver in Sea to Sky Country.
Curling is suited to both beginners and experienced players and accommodates singles, couples or teams of four. A minimum of equipment is required: a broom and non-slip shoes or a slider.
CHARITY LEAGUE
The Monday Night Charity League is a great way to start curling with all the equipment included. The 2011/12 season saw 22 teams take to the ice with room for two more. Starts again in November of 2012 and runs every third week with Lessons included.
WIND UP BANQUET
The Club's Annual Wind Up Banquet is scheduled for Saturday Evening, March 10th.The Sign Up Sheets by Table/Teams are on the Board in the Foyer.Full course meal $35.
NEW FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL & MONDAY LEAGUES
The Club will operate a new Friday Evening Social League as well as a new Monday Afternoon League during the 2012/2013 season. Both Leagues for all ages.
